Operation Community Connect

”Because Our Community Cares”

Our next OCC will be October 20, 2015.

Held at the Cloquet Armory, from 11:00 am to 5 pm

Connecting neighbors with services:

Operation Community Connect is for families, singles, disabled persons, veterans, and seniors who are interested in receiving assistance within Carlton County, especially those who are experiencing homelessness and/or poverty.

Making neighbors aware of programs to help:
Carlton County has many service organizations that offer assistance to individuals and families in need.  Often times, connecting services to the people who need them the most can prove challenging.  Operation Community Connect is a one-day event designed to bring service agencies face-to-face with the people who are in need.  This event is more than an information fair; it is an opportunity for community members to actually apply for services and receive assistance all under one roof.

Opportunities at Event:

Free meal
Free Transportation
Energy Assistance Information
Housing Info & applications
Veterans services
Employment assistance
Applications for services offered throughout Carlton County
Activities for Children
Free childcare during event
Nutrition/food services
We would like to thank the many organizations and agencies who came together to help with the planning and implementation of Community Connect.  The partnerships and relationships created have fostered an environment of caring community members who indeed want to help those living with less.
