ABC: Abundance of Books for Children
Abundance of Books for Children: This program is currently being run by Volunteer Services of Carlton County and the child cares (led by Joyce Bryant). It’s purpose is for each childcare in the county to be visited by a reader 2-3 times per year who brings a book for each child. The reader also does a related activity that is related to the book that they read together. Parents receive a letter encouraging them to read with their children and a survey that documents the visits.
Abundance of Books for Children is a literacy program support by the CHILD Network. ABC provides books to young children throughout Carlton County. For more information contact the CHILD Network @ 218-879-4511
