About Us – Child Network

CHILD Network (Connected to Help In Learning and Development) is a collaboration of professionals focused on improving services to young children and families throughout Carlton County.  We do this by seeking funding for critical programs that serve the families in our eight school districts.

Since our establishment in 1990, we have worked to coordinate prenatal and early childhood services to effectively meet the needs of our community.  Currently, our membership includes representation from parents, Childcare Resource and Referral, private and public child care providers, Carlton County Public Health & Human Services, Northern Lights Special Education Cooperative, Early Childhood Family Education, School Readiness, Head Start programs, including the Fond du Lac Reservation, and a liaison from the Carlton County Collaborative.

With this strong history of working together as an established network of professionals, who serve families with young children, we were positioned to become a partnership workgroup under the Carlton County Collaborative in 2000.  During this time our mission statement was clarified as: A community of children and families growing, learning, and thriving.

We are now welcoming expanded membership to individuals and organizations that would like to support or join this effort.
