Kindergarten Transition
Kindergarten Transition is a team effort to help get all children ready for kindergarten. It includes Head Start, School Readiness, Family and Center-based childcares, and FFN. It is a major role of the Carlton County Early Childhood Initiative. One main function was a series of workshops that also included kindergarten teachers in preparing a brochure of what it meant to be ready in our county. A grant has been written that would add a data piece to this effort. This area has legislative attention and many organizations aligned with the same mission.
