Carlton Continues the YES Skills Assistant/Mentor Program

Thanks to a grant from the Great Lakes Higher Education Guaranty Corporation,  five Carlton County school districts, will be continuing the Youth Engaged in Success (YES) Skills Assistance program for the fourth consecutive year.  This program helps at risk students make progress and stay on track for graduation.  Skills Assistants/Mentors serve as positive mentors to students at risk by supporting their social/emotional, academic, and career exploration needs and goals.  This is done by working in collaboration with school administration, guidance counselors, the local truancy officer, and teachers.  If you have any questions or would like more information about the Skills Assistance Program please call Donna LeKander at 878-3007.
